Somerset Choral Society established itself under the direction of Peter Scott-Winfield in 1987 and have since performed an extensive range of high quality choral music with acclaimed orchestras and soloists.

The choir currently has a membership of 40 singers and rehearse on a  Wednesday evening between 7:30pm-9:00pm at

At an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Somerset Singers held in 2017, the Society approved the change of the Society Title to be 'Somerset Choral Society' aka 'Somerset Singers'.

We have two major concert performances each year, usually held in Cheddar, at St. John's Church, Axbridge or St. Cuthbert's Church Wells, with concerts at Wells Cathedral every few years.
